Drysdale Osteopathy Glasgow

If I could give more stars I would. David was the first practitioner to be able to help me with my back, jaw and neck pain and his treatment made a huge difference in the long term post treatment as well! Absolutely brilliant and a wonderful person on top of that!

Low Back Pain • Sports injuries

Many sports injuries affect the back and, conversely, the back can be the underlying cause of many sports injuries.

Drysdale Osteopathy, Sports Injuries, Back Pain, Rugby, FootballRugby and Football players all know people who have suffered hamstring and groin injuries, and treatment often concentrates on the site of injury.

When the lower back is examined, it often becomes apparent that the injury stems from the spine.

This may sound far-fetched, but these muscles are controlled from the back. If there're any problems in the lower back these muscle groups will tighten up.

It is difficult to stretch muscles when they are receiving the wrong signals from higher up in the nervous system.

Sports people are dynamic, and injuries that cause pain in one place often have their source in another area.

In sports injuries, it is vital to examine the body from head to toe, looking for all the contributing factors.

When treated in this manner the real source of the pain will likely be found.
