Drysdale Osteopathy Glasgow

I had visited a few osteopaths and physios for years before I was recommended David. Due to my profession I am prone to issues with my back. Previously I had to have repeat visits to an osteopath or physio every few weeks. Now, I go years between visits to see David as he takes the time to fully diagnose the exact problem and gives helpful advice on how to stop the issue reoccurring

Headaches

A headache is pain arising anywhere in the head or neck.

Common types of headache include Migraine, Tension Headaches, Sinus Pain and Facial/Jaw Pain arising from the Tempo-Mandibular Joint.

There are numerous causes for headaches, ranging from every day muscular tension, stress, bruxing/grinding teeth, food allergies, vascular changes with migraines, poor posture and the overuse of painkillers.

The brain itself is not sensitive to pain, but the structures surrounding the brain, such as blood vessels and meningeal membranes are. The muscles in the head, neck and shoulders also refer pain to the head.

Acupuncture can often help with headaches.
