Carpal Tunnel Syndrome is where the Median Nerve is compressed at the wrist.
The palm, thumb, index finger, middle finger, and thumb side of the ring finger can be affected.
The palm is often spared, as the branch of the median nerve that supplies the palm is not compressed.
Though the pain, pins and needles & numbness can be difficult to pin point.
This condition can arise during pregnancy or with overuse of the hand/wrist. Occasionally it can be a symptom of disease.
It tends to occur in people aged 30 to 50 years.
It is well worth trying Acupuncture or Osteopathic Treatment. Neural Manipulation can release the Median Nerve, allowing the Nerve to move correctly.
